My name is Max Prybyla and I am the ELA teacher for 7th grade. I am coming to Park City Prep from Cheshire Public Schools. I am incredibly excited to meet and teach a new community of students!
Prior to teaching, I earned a dual Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Spanish Language from Fordham University. After completing my degree, I spent some years in NYC pursuing a corporate career. Ultimately, my love for literature and working with students brought me back to the classroom in 2023.
My goal is to help every student find passion and growth in ELA. By providing a supportive environment that helps students connect to the materials being taught, students will develop mastery in their reading, writing and public speaking skills.
We will begin the year by reading A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry and writing narrative memoir pieces.

Me llamo Max Prybyla y soy el maestro de Lengua y Literatura Inglesas (ELA) a 7.º grado. Antes de trabajar en Park City Prep, fue un maestro en Escuelas Públicas de Cheshire. ¡Estoy muy emocionado de conocer y enseñar a una nueva comunidad de estudiantes!
Antes de mi carera como un maestro, obtuve una doble licenciatura en Literatura Inglesa y Lengua Española por la Universidad de Fordham. Despues de graduarme, pasé algunos años en Nueva York desarrollando una carrera corporativa. Ultimamente, mi pasión por la literatura y el trabajo con estudiantes me llevaron de vuelta al aula en 2023.
Mi objetivo es ayudar a cada estudiante a encontrar pasión y crecer en ELA. Al brindar un entorno de apoyo que ayude a los estudiantes a conectar con los materiales que se enseñan, y desarrollarán un dominio de la lectura, la escritura y la oratoria.
Comenzaremos el año leyendo "A Raisin in the Sun" de Lorraine Hansberry y escribiendo memorias narrativas.
