Welcome to 5th grade in room 406!

My name is Miss O’Connor, and I will be teaching 5th grade Math and Science. I am very excited to have a great year full of learning and fun! This will be my third year teaching at Park City Prep. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Saint Joseph where I played softball, was the Treasurer of the Student Government Association, and more. I was inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi education honor society in 2021. My love for teaching is unmatched, and I will be a great advocate for all of my students. I am thrilled to start the 2024-2025 school year and to meet you all and embark on this new journey together!

Term 2

In Term 2, students will learn the following topics:

Math:

Fractions- Adding Subtracting, Multiplying, and Dividing
Measurement and Data
Geometry
Algebraic Thinking

Science:

Modelling Matter
Earth Systems
Ecosystem Restoration

Students will be using many different resources over the course of Term 2, such as:

i-Ready Math (45 minutes per week)
Xtra Math (2 sessions per week)
Legends of Learning
Big Ideas online
Achieve 3000 (every other week)

Signing in to Parent Portal Accesss (for the first time):

Go to https://www.parkcityprep.org/
On the homescreen, click on the word PARENTS at the top of the screen
From the parent drop down menu select Parent portal
Do not fill out user ID and password boxes, click can't remember password
On the new screen it will ask for a username; enter the the EMAIL ADDRESS you want to use as your user name
An email will be sent to you giving a temporary password and a link to click on that will help you set us your account.
