Welcome to 5th Grade!

Welcome to a brand-new school year! My name is Amy Castellanos and I am thrilled to begin this journey together as we explore 5th Grade Math and Science. Each year brings new opportunities for discovery, teamwork, and growth, and I cannot wait to see all that our students will accomplish.

This will be my fifth year teaching at Park City Prep, and I am especially proud to be back as an alum — I graduated from PCP in 2011! After my time here, I went on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Connecticut State University in 2019 and my Master’s Degree from the University of Bridgeport in 2021. Being able to return to Park City Prep as an educator feels like coming full circle, and I am grateful for the chance to give back to the school that helped shape who I am today.

In our classroom, you can expect an environment that balances structure and creativity. I believe in setting high expectations while also encouraging students to ask questions, take risks, and celebrate their progress. My hope is that every child leaves 5th grade with not only stronger math and science skills, but also confidence in themselves as learners and problem-solvers.
