7th grade Language Arts (Section HR 206) Assignments

Super Study Guide for THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS NOW due on Wednesday, May 27th.

Skills review packet- finish from class.

Read for at least 30 minutes in your IR book and complete at least 4 boxes of the Active Reader Report.

Read for 30 minutes in your IR book and complete a Homework Reading Log.

Read for 30 minutes in your IR book and complete a 5 Ws worksheet.

Read IR book for at least 30 minutes and do 4 stop and jots

Read your IR book for at least 30 minutes and complete a Homework Reading Log for homework.

This weekend, your homework is to complete the vocab worksheet for the vocab words in That was Then, This is Now (TWTTIN), the characterization worksheet for Bryon, and read Chapter 2 in TWTTIN.

 

All necessary worksheets and readings are attached below.

Read the article "A Monument for Peace" and answer the questions about the reading.

Read at least 30 minutes in your independent reading book and fill in a 5 W's chart based on your reading.

Read your independent reading book for at least 30 minutes and complete at least 4 boxes of the Active Reader Report.  An extra can be found below or in the File Cabinet.

The winter break packet reviews the sentence structures that we have been working with in class and also asks you to read your independent reading book and do two homework reading logs.  Have a happy winter break!

Study guide for the Appositive and Appositive Phrase quiz that is on Wednesday, November 26th. The study guide is due Tuesday (11/25) so that we can go over it in class and each student will be able to study from it for the quiz.

Study guide for the Hyperbole and Personification quiz that is on Wednesday, October 8th.  The study guide is due tomorrow (10/7) so that we can go over it in class and each student will be able to study from it for the quiz.  

Study Guide for Simile and Metaphor Quiz on 9/24/2014.  The study guide is due 9/23.  We will go over it in class so that you have the right answers to study from for the test.
