Mr. Grey - Grade 6 Science

Greetings!  I am very happy to be in my 7th year teaching at Park City Prep Charter School. I was born and raised in Orlando, FL and sang for Walt Disney World when I was a middle school and high school student. I graduated on the Dean's List from Emory University in Atlanta, GA with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) double concentrating in Finance and Organizational Management with a minor in Business Communication.

I have corporate experience working for Accenture, a top management consulting firm, with a focus in Training Design and Development. After two years at Accenture, I was recruited to be the Training and Client Education Manager for Derivion, an internet start-up based out of Toronto. In 2001, I began a quest to influence and impact education for diverse students by working in higher education admissions for 3 of the top colleges and universities in the U.S.: Emory University, Sewanee: The University of the South, and Yale University.

In 2014, I switched my career focus to teaching in public schools after witnessing countless numbers of students from urban public school districts denied admissions to top-tier colleges and universities. I began working as a long-term substitute with Kelly Educational Staffing and was hired into the Teacher Ascent Program (TAP) with Bethany Community School in the Spring of 2015. I have worked as a summer camp counselor with the JCC of Greater New Haven as well. Prior to joining Park City Prep Charter School, I taught for 2 years at Achievement First's Amistad Academy Elementary School in New Haven, CT.

I am a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Caucus of Emory Black Alumni (CEBA), and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). In my spare time, I provide pro bono admissions consulting for applying to college and graduate schools.
